The project follows Alabbar’s recent launch of the $2.5 billion Durres Yacht Club and Marina in Albania
Arabian Business has revealed that Mohamed Alabbar, the Emaar founder and Americana chairman, will launch a new island project called Ramhan Island off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
The project will include 1,800 beach villas, 1,000 branded residences, a hotel, and a marina, and will be developed by his privately owned Eagle Hills development company.
Alabbar described the island as “natural, raw, and untouched”, and said that it will feature a world-class marina, luxury hotel, floating villas, and state-of-the-art shopping and fine dining.
The villas will come in eight different designs, ranging from 2,862 to 7,539 square feet, and Alabbar hopes that the first villas will be ready to move into within three years.

“It’s a rare thing to live on a natural island, complete with a beach – everything being truly from nature, including dolphins, turtles and birds. This is a quality of life that has never been seen before, and it is what we will be delivering. I have been lucky enough to work on some unique projects over the years, but this is something truly special,” he said in an exclusive conversation with Arabian Business.
